10.17.17: Ayudame, Padre

Well once again my comp got transferred! Hermana Martens is now in Valencia, and my new comp is Hermana Halls.  She is from Arizona and she graduated from BYU Hawaii before coming on a mission. I am excited to get to know her...so far all good things! (We have probs been together for like 3.2 hrs.)  She is super sweet and I am so excited be here with her in Martorell. Today has been crazy with lugging giant suitcases all around the Barce metro system hahaha- once again we are giving everyone something to stare at!

It has been another great week full of blessings and running around like crazy people trying to talk to everyone we see. This week was Paco's birthday (our recent convert) and he taught us how to make tortilla de patata like a "real Spaniard."  Haha, he is so cute. The real trick is to say "Ayudame, Padre" when you are trying to flip it over. Haha, Paco considers his ability to make tortilla one of his "spiritual gifts" and takes any chance he gets to make it for ward gatherings.

Also, this week was another random Spanish holiday on Thursday and Friday. Another reason I adore Spain is because they have so many holidays. They take every chance they get to take a day off of school and work. Thursday was the day of some random saint.   And Friday was a recovery day from Thursday, because obviously just one day of vacation is not enough...

Something that I read in personal study this week that I needed was Philippians 4:11 - "For I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content"- this scripture just spoke to me. There are always flaws in our current situation, but learning to be content with what we have is truly a blessing and a gift. I know that God loves all of us infinitely and truly blesses us with ALL that we have.

Well I love you all and hope everyone is doing well...STAY GOLD<3
