4.23.18: I Got Pooped On

Image
Well, I got pooped on this week by a bird...just thought you all would enjoy knowing that little detail, jajaja. I'm pretty sure God has a good sense of humor...you can either laugh or cry when something like that happens to you...jajaja.  Life is just so beautiful!  Anyway...this week has been amazing weather and there have been lots of crazy tourists in the streets, but I'm getting pretty good at judging who is a local and who isn't (jajaja most of the time it's pretty obvious). Just still can't believe that I actually live here...this place is gorgeous!  In the middle of the city there is a little mountain thing with a giant Jesus statue on top of it, and the other night we hiked up to it with our investigator to watch the sunset <3.  The view from the top is gorgeous because you can see the whole city on one side and the ocean on the other! Also, the little church that is up there is called the "Iglesia de Mote" which I suppose is some saint...

4.16.18: Group Karaoke For the Ganar (Win)

Ok, wow! So many classic things this week! So much happens  in one day  that I cannot even remember what I did yesterday... Just still living the dream here! The other night we went to an evangelical bible study group that one of our investigators insisted that we attend. Jajaja, I cannot even describe how classic it was...complete with some group karaoke Christian rock from YouTube (not just one, but 4 complete songs...) and some welcome goody bags for all the new people. (Ok that part was more Mormon than they will ever know, jajaja). By the time we left, an hour later, they were just barely starting the actual bible part...hahahaha...I love it! I left there with a renewed conviction that our church is so true!! Jajajaja. The miracle of this week is Marta! Marta is an amazing woman who is here from Honduras! She just moved here from Sevilla. This week she not only got a job, but it is a job that she doesn't have to work on Sundays ...

4.9.18: I Don't Even Know

Ok, well I legit have 2 mins to write this... sorry if it is incoherent... but wow! What an amazing week this has been! God is so real!! Yesterday we met with an investigator and she told us that the first time we knocked on her door she had just gotten off the phone with her sister after telling her about how she wanted to go to a church here in SanSe but she could only find Catholic ones. Of course, we had no idea and no intention of being the answer to this woman's prayer, but somehow the Lord guided us to her door just in the moment that she was ready to receive us!  A similar thing happened  on  Saturday morning as well. We met with a woman who is the wife of a menos activo  [less active] . The hermanas  [sister missionaries]  have taught her before, but I had never met her in all of my time here. The other day we called her to set up a visit and see if she was still interested. It turns out that right as we called her, she was leaving h...

Ok, I know I say this every week, but I am just living the dreammmmmm here in San Sebastian!! I don't know what I did to deserve all of these blessings; God is so good to me! I adore this place and all of the beautiful souls here!! Wow I just cannot believe how good my life is! Today, I will get a new comp...I have not had a comp for more than 1 transfer my entire mission...kind of crazy! She still has not arrived yet, but I'm excited to meet her and work with her in SanSe!  Well....the most important news of this week is that THERE IS A MAN IN OUR WARD WITH SIX FINGERS...SIX! I legit die every time I shake his hand (it's on his right hand). He is a classic!! Jajaja, my life is complete now...I swear this place can't get any better! Also this week, we went to FRANCE!! Um ya...so there is a fam in our ward that lives just across the border and we went to their house on Saturday! They also took us to the beach for a quick sec on the way to the train station...th...

3.26.18: Milagros pt.567

The Lord truly blesses us with miracles every.single.day! Everyday as we come into the door to our piso  [apartment]  and I reflect on all the events of the day, I am reminded over and over again that this truly is the Lord's work. Yesterday I was bummed because none of our investigators were able to make it to church and all of our citas  [appointments]  for the afternoon ended up cancelling. We ended up going to a pueblo to do pass-bys, but then by some crazy coincidence our phone and my tablet (with all of the pass-by points in them) ended up dying. Que suerte [What luck] ! We went to the last address we had seen right before the phone died and it ended up that the woman who was in the area book doesn't live there anymore. However, the two adorable women who answered the door ended up letting us come in and teach them about the Book of Mormon! They are both amazing women who have had hard lives and have so much faith in the Savior, and I know that our message of J...
