10.23.18: Badalona Banished

Image
Ok, well... one last heartbreak to round things off nicely...after praying all transfer that I could stay in Valencia, I have been transferred to Badalona (part of Barcelona) for my last transfer of my mission! I went 13/13, I never had a companion for more than one transfer. Jajaja, no one could handle me for any longer, I guess! But ya, I had to rip my heart away from all the beautiful souls in Valencia and my heart is broken once again.  But God is humbling me and helping to learn how to accept His will even when it is not my own. But I am trying to have a good attitude.  I know God has sent me here for a reason...I don't know what He wants from me, but I am going to try to give it to Him.  I will treasure my time in Valencia FOREVER and I will never forget all of the miracles that I found in that beautiful place. <3 This week was a straight LOCURA  [crazy one]  once again... : --there was a crazy, once every 10 years, rain in Valencia...

10.15.18: God Will Provide

Life is so BEAUTIFUL <--I hope you all know that. I still cannot believe how BLESSED I am to be a missionary in the most beautiful country.  Every single day God blesses us with so many miracles! This week we met a new family that just moved here from Chile and they have been meeting with missionaries for the past year! They live in a pueblo that is super out of the way, but they are such an adorable family! Everyone needs to pray for them to progress.  Their names are Sandra and Jose and they have three precioso ninos  [precious children].  <3  But ya...also our friends from Nigeria that got baptized this last week got confirmed yesterday and they were so HAPPY! Wow, they are the BEST! They were so happy afterward! They work picking oranges in the field and brought us a huge bag of "oranges" but actually they are like dark green because it's still not the season jajaja.  But it's the thought that counts. ;) Tambien  [also] ...

Wowza what a semana  [week] ! I don't even know what to say...every day is an adventure! This week has been una locura  [a crazy one] , but I love every minute of it. ;) 1. I took a nice little day trip to Madrid and went to my comp's house and met her entire fam bam because she had to do her residency...probs one of the most bizarre days of my entire mish, (which is saying something jajaja). 2. We saw some abuelitas  [little grandmas]  screaming in the street at each other and then they starting wrestling and throwing jewelry everywhere, jajaja. It was quite a scene! 3. We helped a less-active member with a fundraiser she is doing and it consisted of us helping her wash and prep whole chickens.  And it was the grossest thing of my life...my comp is a champ and she is the one that picked the organs out...bleck ehhhhhh...!  The things we do for love, sabes  [you know] ? 4. I ate murcillo (blood sausage)... at a member...

10.1.18: Stay Gold

Wow, God is so real! The miracle of this week is that yesterday our friends, Lawrence and Osi passed their baptism interview and will be baptized this Saturday!! They are from Nigeria and have been faithfully coming to church ever since we met them, but it has been super difficult to teach them because they never received formal schooling and don't know how to read at all. They also don't really understand my English very well because they mainly speak a dialect from their tribe in Nigeria. However, we have been working really hard to teach them very simply and help them understand the restoration, and more than anything, feel the spirit. It's been a good reminder to me of how simple the gospel really is! They have such sincere and pure desires to follow Christ and do what is right and I am so excited for them to be baptized!  Also, it made me realize how much we take for granted. We have no right to complain about going to school because it is a bigger blessing th...
