2.5.18: The Miracle of Yesterday
Hello All,
This is Amy, just clarifying that I missed sending last week's email, and so I sent it earlier this week. This email is the current one for this week. You probably aren't keeping track, but just in case you were, this would explain why there are 2 this week from Hermana Maddy.
Sending you our love,
amy
This year, one of my goals is to recognize and write down a miracle every day. God is so good to us and blesses us so much every single day, whether we know it or not! I am still in shock at the miracle of yesterday! Manuela (the investigator that I talked about last week) and her daughter came to church and stayed the entire time (well ok, minus a quick smoke break--working on that one!)! They loved it and are now planning to come to the Relief Society activity on Saturday and are excited to come again next Sunday. I am amazed, de verdad [for real] I am sin palabras[without words or speechless]. After church she texted us and said that she not only enjoyed church but she felt peace and tranquility and felt "llena" [filled]! I know that what she was feeling was the power and love of God and His Holy Spirit. I am so excited to continue watching and helping her progress in this path toward Christ. One of the hardest but most important things as a missionary is to teach your investigators about the all-encompassing power of Christ's atonement and the personal effect that it has in our lives. The truth is that we cannot fully comprehend it ourselves, but as I learn more about His sufferings for us, my gratitude and love for my Savior, Jesus Christ grows in ways that I didn't imagine possible. He really did suffer for all of us INDIVIDUALLY and is just waiting and longing for us to come unto Him so that we can be healed. <3
