5.21.18: The Grind

Wow! I just love being a missionary! Life in Sabadell is defs very different from SanSe, but all good things!

So many random things happen everyday, jajaja. Siempre una aventura! [Always an adventure!] A few days ago, a random old Spanish man voluntarily came up to us while we were sitting on a bench and proceeded to sing not uno, but dos canciones [one, but two songs] and then gave me his homemade wire ring, jajaja.  He also told us to make sure to marry someone who "drinks water and not alcohol" ....ok will do.

Also, on Saturday, we were running around like crazy people because we had so many citas [appointments]...we were starving and a member had given us a Tupperware of food, but we didn't have any utensils.  So we just sat down on the side of an apartment building and ate with our hands....  We got some great, quality looks from the vecinos [neighbors] walking by.  Then a man walked by with his pan del dia [bread for the day] and offered us some, because I'm pretty sure he thought we were homeless.  (We had a bunch of random grocery bags with clothes and shoes in them and we were eating with our hands..so basically we were homeless, jajaja.) Life is so beautiful!

But I already adore all of the people here. The ward is incredible! The thing about the members here is that almost all of them are converts and they all have the craziest stories of how they came to be converted to the church.  They are all amazing! I love hearing their stories because it reminds me that there truly are people that the Lord is preparing to accept the gospel!

1 Nephi 21:16
"Behold, I have engraven thee upon the palms of my hands" <--- I adore this scripture! Christ literally has every one of our afflictions and infirmities engraven on His hands. He truly descended below it all, so that He could be there with us throughout every step of life to walk with us and elevate us in our lowest moments. I love my Savior Jesus Christ and am so grateful to be a representative of Him here in the beautiful country of Spain.

I love you all! Stay gold<3

Ps- Enjoy these pics in all of their awkward glory jajajaja.  Our investigator (the hombre [man] with the classy glasses) finally bought a button up for church... He calls it his "Mormon clothes" jajaja...
